About Hunter Boots

Born in the UK, with universal appeal

Founded in Scotland in 1856 by Henry Lee Norris, the North British Rubber Company (later to become known as Hunter Boot Company) manufactured rubber boots and other durable rubber products. Boots quickly became their most popular and profitable category. The North British Rubber Company began to expand their product range to make boots for everyone, from dairy to field boots. Hunter became known for its practical, creative and forward-thinking design flair, a tradition that continues to this day.

At the heart of the brand is the Original Wellington Boot. First introduced in 1956, the globally recognised boot stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence.

Continuing its tradition, Hunter has expanded its footwear collection to include outerwear, bags and accessories. Inspired by both rural and urban environments, the performance-driven pieces are meticulously designed for outdoor performance, always seamlessly blending function and style.
